Experience the fusion of ancient heritage and contemporary art at Texĕre – Come Fili Nell’Insieme, an evocative exhibition by artist Silvia Scaringella, on display at the Segesta Archaeological Park. This immersive art installation transforms the ancient park into a tapestry of human connection, featuring three thematic sections:
-
Pondus: A vertical loom adorned with 2,500 terracotta weights, symbolizing the weight of shared histories.
-
Idrissa: Six marble steles connected by colored threads, bridging the ruins of a medieval church and a mosque, representing cultural unity.
-
Texĕre: The Doric Temple becomes a symbolic loom, wrapped in 1,222 meters of fabric crafted from recycled garments, commemorating resilience after the 2023 wildfire.
This community-driven project invites reflection on the interweaving of individual and collective narratives, celebrating diversity and shared humanity.
