FAQ
What are some popular destinations on the east of Sicily?
Whether you choose to visit the East depends on what you wish to do and see. The most popular tourist destinations on the East Coast include; Taormina and nearby Mount Etna, Syracuse, Ragusa, Catania, and Messina (the gateway to the Aeolian Islands). Due to its accessibility and various occupations over the years, many of Sicily’s most well-preserved archeological UNESCO sites can be found in the East and some of the most prominent examples of Baroque architecture.
The west coast on the other hand, is home to Trapani, Fevignano island, the archeological wonders of Segesta and Zingaro Natural Reserve. Apart from select beaches found all around Sicily, most of the renowned beaches seen in pretty brochures can be found in the west.
Agrigento can be accessed from either the east or the west and whilst Sicily is a large island, if you spend enough time, we recommend you visit it all. We guarantee it won’t disappoint!
